Your hard work makes a big difference in kids lives!
Our Work and Fellowship Camps are seriously good fun but importantly it also enhances our ministry to the thousands of young lives who visit our campsites every year! The weekend is also an amazing intergenerational service ministry with young and old all contributing as they're able.
Come and join with an amazing bunch of generous, hardworking people to help keep our Koojarewon campsite looking as beautiful as ever! You'll spend Saturday working together and not only be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing the difference you have made whilst taking in the spectacular views, but you'll also be treated to delicious meals and accommodation. To top it all off - it's absolutely free!
What skills are needed?
We need all sorts of skilled and non-skilled people: tradies, farmers, men, women and children- all are welcome. In fact, our team will ensure that we find a job that is just perfect for your skills and experience!
What will we be doing?
There are always plenty of projects to complete at Work and Fellowship Camp, and we deliberately ensure there is a good mix to suit participants of varied skill levels and ages. This year we'll be predominantly focusing on maintenance. Some of the jobs may include:
- cabinet making
- furniture restoration
- pressure cleaning
... there are even jobs and fun and games planned for the children!
Arrive anytime from 4pm Friday afternoon. Supper is provided Friday night.
Saturday will be a full day of work after a scrumptious breakfast and workers will be sustained throughout the day with more glorious food! Put your feet up Saturday night after a hard days work, enjoy a dinner fit for a king and continue on into the night, playing games, laughing and telling stories.
Sunday will start with breakfast to fill up your stomachs for the trip home. The rest of the day is then yours to enjoy how you wish!
What tools should I bring?
Whatever tools you think will be useful for the jobs you are undertaking.
What are the sleeping arrangements like?
Accommodation at Koojarewon and Luther Heights is dorm style. It is clean and the beds are bunks. Where possible we allocate a specific dorm just for families. Keep in mind that the accommodation generally isn’t great for children still in cots.
What if I have a special diet?
Please tell us in your registration and we will ensure that we deliver you some beautiful food that meets your needs. We are experts in Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Dairy Free, and Nut Free.
Can I bring children?
Please do!! Luther Heights and Koojarewon are great places for children. We have activities planned for them, including jobs!
Can I come for half a day or a few hours?
Yes – the more the merrier.
Do I HAVE to stay on-site?
No – you can stay wherever you like.
