We are blessed by the gift of hundreds of volunteers every year who partner with us in ministry by serving as leaders on our holiday camps, helping to maintain and grow our campsites at Coolum Beach or Highfields and through the provision of admin support at one of our offices. We are blessed by the generous way that our dedicated volunteers share their God-given talents and partner with us to impact young lives!

Holiday Camp Volunteers

Our renowned Holiday Camp ministry is only possible because of the incredible support of our volunteer leaders. Holiday Camp leaders play an important role on camp, working as a team to ensure that every camper is cared for and supported. Camp leaders are usually assigned to specifically care for a small group of campers. This involves leading small group discussion and helping the campers complete the camp activities. Camp leaders are important role models on camp and they should actively take every opportunity to share both their faith and lives with the campers.

There are also other volunteer roles on camps such as camp parents, camp pastors and cooks!

Administration Support at Milton, Ipswich, Coolum and Highfields

The coal-face ministry of LYQ is only possible because of the great 'behind the scenes' administrative support of our office team. Our office volunteers support this work by helping us prepare for our holiday camps, preparing grant applications and helping with our fundraising events. Volunteer support is currently needed at our Milton office, Ipswich office, Luther Heights office (Coolum Beach) and Koojarewon office (Highfields). Contact us to register your interest.

Maintenance at our Campsites

Every year thousands of guests enjoy the beauty and tranquilty of our two campsites, Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum Beach and Koojarewon Youth Camp, Highfields. As you can imagine this usage takes its toll over time and we are constantly maintaining and upgrading our sites so that we can continue to provide an amazing experience for our guests.
