Fellowship and Work Camp @ Luther Heights

People young and old came together to support Lutheran Youth of Queensland and our camping ministry at the annual Luther Heights Fellowship and Work Camp which took place on the last weekend of July. The weekend kicked off on the Friday night with a great chance for everyone to relax and get to know each other before a hard day of work the following day.

In the space of one day, around 50 volunteers from Lutheran churches across QLD effectively completed $60000 of work in one day. The projects ranged from weeding, cleaning, painting and changing lights to installing bollards, building a shed and shelter and also creating a labyrinth.

Our wonderful volunteers were well looked after by our resident chef (and all round amazing guy) William and his team. Many chose to stay on for the worship service on the Sunday morning followed by the chance to take in the spectacular views and relaxing vibe that Luther Heights has to offer.

All involved in this incredible weekend thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship, community and the rewarding opportunity to serve. Why not pop it in your diary for 25 - 27 July 2014 and come and join in the fun!
