Director Profiles
Drew & Claire Schultz
We’ve both been on camps like this for a while and we think they’re the best thing ever. Hanging out having a fun time with other people, sharing our passions, lifting other’s up and getting enthusiastic about Jesus stuff are what we’re stoked for on CLWs. We have strong affinity for Summer CLW, this is the third we’ve directed: it’s so good.
We both like doing things: watching TV Shows, eating yummy food, listening and dancing to music, camping; Claire is super into Plants and DIY, Drew has fun creating music, reading, and yelling at Video Games, Lola loves singing songs, reading books and she also loves anything bouncy. Food is a big part of Lola’s day: she likes berries, biscuits, strawberry milk, and those soy rice crispie cracker things.
Throughout Lola’s life, she has had 5 great loves: a bee toy named Derek, Bluey, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour live concert, Frozen 2, and… Summer CLW! Every summer of her entire life Lola has been at Summer CLW - what a champ, what a commitment, what a hero.
We have 3 cats. Stiles, Freg and Wav. Lola doesn’t really like them, but they were here first. Stiles complains, Freg secretly misses us and wants cuddles but doesn’t want to show it, and Wav has a floppy belly.
We can’t wait to see you at camp!

Family Discount – Mark Grieshaber Legacy Fund
Available to siblings living in the same household for events in the same Holiday Season (Winter, Spring, or Summer Seasons)| $60 per camper | Apply during registration
In 2018 we were blessed to receive a generous bequest from Mark Grieshaber. Mark (Greezy) Grieshaber was an active part of the Lutheran Youth of Queensland community for over three decades until his death in late 2017. Mark involvement started as a participant at our events but mostly he was involved as a volunteer leader for our holiday camps, particularly serving as our camp bus driver. Mark’s passion to support young people meant he often attended multiple events every year and although Mark’s involvement goes beyond our archived records, we know he attended more than 130 different events! Those of us who were blessed to serve alongside Mark will remember his selfless leadership and care for others, and his passionate worship singing!
In consultation with Mark’s family, we’re thrilled to be able to use Mark’s generous legacy to offer a $60 sibling discount for our holiday camps. Mark had a deep passion for youth ministry and dedicated many voluntary hours to leading on camp and transporting campers to, from and during camp. It is therefore fitting that we use his generous gift to offer a sibling discount that effectively gives families with multiple camper’s free bus transport to and from camp.
Commitment to Child Safety
Lutheran Youth of Queensland is committed to child safety and our practices are guided by the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and Queensland’s Eight Mandatory Requirements. We have zero tolerance for child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns are taken seriously and responded to according to our policies and procedures. This includes a child centered approach to responding to incidents and allegations, and the reporting of concerns, not matter how small, to the relevant authorities. We ask that you support us in this by highlighting ways that we can improve our practice and by reporting any concerns you might have to the relevant authorities
