Overview

The Gathering is a bi-annual young adults weekend retreat hosted around South East Queensland. It is a space that recognises and celebrates the importance of relationships and is designed to be a meaningful place for them. To fulfill this vision, The Gathering has activities solely focused on being a good-time, where cool people do cool things together, and other times for a more intentional deepening of relationships.

The Gathering is also an opportunity to grow in faith, wherever you may be in that. Each Gathering spends some time delving into a theme relevant to young adults, and all with a focus on understanding the life of Jesus.

The Gathering is simple; being relational and being about Jesus. Whether you are simply keen to do some shenanigans with some phenomenal people, or perhaps seeking some knowledge of Christ, The Gathering is the place to be.

Registrations are open 13 January – 13 February

 

  • The cost is $25 / day, totalling $50 for the weekend.
  • The ticket price includes lunch and activities for each day.
  • All other meals and accommodation is at the arrangement of the attendee.

The Program

This February all the activities have been designed with the thought “the stories you’ll be able to tell” in mind. In short, there will be an amazing, Amazing Race, not only over The Gathering’s venue but the entire Lockyer Valley Region. Plus, another equally extravagant activity being kept a secret.

The Gathering will be exploring what unity looks like in a fractured world. A terrific guest speaker will lead us through this topic, helping us understand how best to manage our division. while, to paraphrase Matthew 7:3-5, we “rip those logs outta our own eyes.”

Accommodation

This February accommodation is at the arrangement of the attendee and is not included in your ticket price. Instead, you and your friends are invited to choose a style of accommodation that fits your style and budget around Stockyard Creek Community Hall.

To note: If you are attending the programming of The Gathering you are not obligated to stay overnight in the region. You are welcome to daytrip for one or both days. However, you are still required to register and pay using the above link.
