As the Leadership & Learning team, our focus is on growing the leadership skills, abilities and experiences of young people and those who serve them.

Co-Creation + Design Thinking
A key way that LYQ operates is through co-creation.
We use distinct frameworks, methods and tools developed in the design industry to facilitate the effective co-creation of programs and learning experiences.
This is known as Design Thinking.
We approach the idea of leadership in this same way. One where it is far more effective to create by designing with and for those in front of us.
In the education space we believe in making learning a visible, tangible experience. To get the thinking out of our head and into the world. When we co-create we come alongside you to create Learning Intentions and Success Criteria.
The tools are flexible but rigourous. We can go from one-on-one interviews out to conference methods including the voice of 200+ people.
What we do...
Leadership Programs
- Full-day, Half-day or 2 hours & less. Multiple time options to suit your needs.
- Intentions & outcomes designed alongside all stakeholders
We believe two things about Leadership.
1. It is a teachable & transferable skill. And,
2. That it is a function of influence in human relationships.
We would say Leadership is learnt (1) and is a relationship (2). Which means that to get to the heart of learning leadership it needs to be contextualized and clear. To do that we co-create our programs alongside you to establish clear learning intentions and clear success criteria for learners. We also strive to make them incredibly enjoyable and fun!
Leadership Development Camps

When it comes to Leadership development Enthuse and Momentum have been some of our most impactful, enjoyed and remembered experiences. So much so that many who come on the camps, come back to facilitate as LYQ facilitators.
This is not simply because of the great content learnt, but because of the culture we intentionally build and most importantly the people who year after year put their time into youth and young people. If you are looking for a peak experience focused on leadership than our residential leadership camps may just be what you are looking for.
LYQ LIFT
- A 3yr gradual release model designed to support those called to minister to youth & young people
- Co-created support involving local communities at every step
- Built on the authentic lived experiences of LYQ staff and connections.
LYQ LIFT intends to explore youth ministry alongside those who discern a calling on their lives but importantly don’t feel they have the equipping.
We work with a community to intentionally identify roles, responsibilities, gaps and more to create a sustainable release of those to the person or persons in question.
Rather than a short view, we see the sustainable journey as being long. Commonly we see this process taking 3 years. Though each community is able to commit or support something different. It’s our longest and most thorough approach to leadership development

Archery Tag

We have the equipment to run Archery Tag as an experience while you build great memories with youth & young people.
Never underestimate the power of young people watching you have a great time with them and not separated from them.
Whether it is during a break time, or class, or school fete; it’s never not a fun activity to engage people.

LYQ has a long history of creating experiences where youth and young people feel safe, heard and supported.
As with all of our programs, we facilitate the design of cultures, structures and experiences to help better understand Pastoral care. And, the articulation of why and how to do so as a leader. We exist to support young people as they explore, discover and thrive in their understanding of pastorally caring for one another.
