Did you know that camper places are limited by how many leaders we have? So, if you think you or someone you know would be a great leader, please get in touch, or check our the ‘Volunteer with Us’ section below.
We don’t want money to be the reason why your kids can’t come, so if you’re family could do with a little help, we’ve got you covered.
Family Discounts
Family Discount: Mark Grieshaber Legacy Fund
$60 per camper | If your family qualifies, the discount will automatically apply at checkout.
Available to siblings living in the same household for events in the same Holiday Season (Winter, Spring, or Summer Seasons)|
In 2018 we were blessed to receive a generous bequest from Mark Grieshaber. Mark (Greezy) Grieshaber was an active part of the Lutheran Youth of Queensland community for over three decades until his death in late 2017. Mark involvement started as a participant at our events but mostly he was involved as a volunteer leader for our holiday camps, particularly serving as our camp bus driver. Mark’s passion to support young people meant he often attended multiple events every year and although Mark’s involvement goes beyond our archived records we know he attended more than 130 different events! Those of us who were blessed to serve alongside Mark will remember his selfless leadership and care for others, and his passionate worship singing!
In consultation with Mark’s family we’re thrilled to be able to use Mark’s generous legacy to offer a $60 sibling discount for our holiday camps. Mark had a deep passion for youth ministry and dedicated many voluntary hours to leading on camp and transporting campers to, from and during camp. It is therefore fitting that we use his generous gift to offer a sibling discount that effectively gives families with multiple campers free bus transport to and from camp.
Subsidies
Church / Organisational Subsidy
Some churches have registered with LYQ to obtain a code to provide subsidy to their young people. Please chat to your pastor/youth leader about a subsidy code and amount. If you are a church or organisation and would like to create a subsidy to help young people attend camp, contact us on 3511 4080 or office@lyq.org.au. If you have a code from your church or youth group, please enter this into your booking when prompted.
IMPORTANT: Codes cannot be applied after registration process is complete (retrospectively).

Volunteer with us...
We have an amazing bunch of leaders who volunteer their time to make sure that every camp is a bundle of fun and a great experience. All of our leaders complete an extensive application and training process prior to being selected.
To all of the amazing, kind, funny, and super talented leaders THANK YOU! Camp would not be what it is without you. The level of enthusiasm and care you all bring to camp, and the impact you have on the campers, cannot be under stated.
Are you interested in being a leader for this or another LYQ Camp?
