Overview
Dapper Daytrips are created by young adults, for young adults, offering a variety of day trips for young adults throughout the year. Each trip features different locations and activities, but all share a common goal: creating a welcoming space where you can share the highs and lows of young adulthood. Whether you prefer chatting over tea and cake or engaging in more adventurous activities, there’s something for everyone.

A typical Dapper DayTrip includes time to simply chat & hang with others (card games always present), a ‘tentpole’ activity, and worship. Participation in any activity is entirely optional, giving you the freedom to choose what you do!

Dapper Daytrips wholeheartedly welcomes all young adults who are interested in the community described above. Whatever your reasoning is for wanting to come along, we’d love to see you there.

Carpooling Inquiries: 
  • We know with fuel costs and life costs that can be  a little tricky sometimes and we want  to help
  • If you need a lift to, during or from the event please let us know! We will be sure to connect you with a ride. 
  • Hot tip: The closest train station is the Landsborough train station where we can also organise for pickups or there are public bus services. 
  • Send Macey (Event organiser) a message on 0449752005. We certainly don’t want to see travel interfere with community. 

What to Bring
Make sure you bring a jumper as it will be chilly during outdoor worship. You are also welcome to bring some cozy things including but not limited to: beanbag, cushion, blankets, rugs, oodies, beanies….

The Program
This August, our ‘tentpole’ activity will be a group viewing of selected short films. Come along with an open mind to experience something new! Its a great time for chats and laughs with new friends and old as you embark on an experiential one-of-a-kind journey (And popcorn of course). Stick around for a hearty winter dinner (think curries, stews), followed by acoustic worship on the lawn under the stars. Make sure you register so that we can cater for your dietary requirements and the right number of people!

Saturday 1st of August

  • 3:00pm – Arrival, chats and hangs
  • 4:30pm – Pop the popcorn, it’s viewing time! 
  • 6:00pm – Let’s Eat! (It’s dinnertime)
  • 7:00pm – Kumbaya, My Lord – Worship under the stars.
  • 8:00pm – That’s a wrap! Stick around for chats, card games or an ice cream run? or skedaddle home!
