Young adults and youth ministry, together.

Young adults are at the heart of LYQ.

LYQ was started by young adults and continues to be shaped by young adults who are committed to sharing the love of Jesus, building community and serving young people across Queensland.

The heart of who we are

We are blessed to support and partner in ministry with hundreds of young adults every year.

Our ministry to young adults, particularly university students, is relationship-focused and seeks to give young adults opportunities to grow and serve in the love of Christ.

Young adults and youth ministry go hand in hand.

Holiday Camp Leadership

The largest component of LYQ’s young adult ministry is the local mission opportunity of leading on one of our holiday camp programs.

Bring a friend. Make a friend.

Dapper DayTrips create welcoming spaces where young adults can connect, share life and enjoy community. Whether you prefer chatting over tea and cake or joining something more adventurous, there is something for everyone.

Each trip includes different locations and activities, but the goal is always the same: creating a welcoming space where young adults can share the highs and lows of young adulthood.

Serve in a practical and powerful way.

More than 95% of LYQ holiday camp leaders are university students who generously give their time and resources to share the Good News about Jesus with teenagers and children on camp.

Holiday Camp leadership is a powerful way for young adults to grow in faith, build practical leadership skills, form lifelong friendships and make a real difference in the lives of children and teenagers.
