Overview
Dapper Daytrips are created by young adults, for young adults, offering a variety of day trips for young adults throughout the year. Each trip features different locations and activities, but all share a common goal: creating a welcoming space where you can share the highs and lows of young adulthood. Whether you prefer chatting over tea and cake or engaging in more adventurous activities, there’s something for everyone.
A typical Dapper DayTrip includes time to simply chat & hang with others (card games always present), a ‘tentpole’ activity, and worship. Participation in any activity is entirely optional, giving you the freedom to choose what you do!
Dapper Daytrips wholeheartedly welcomes all young adults who are interested in the community described above. Whatever your reasoning is for wanting to come along, we’d love to see you there.

The Program
This September, our ‘tentpole’ activity will be a nature filled day, as we get outdoors and enjoy the fresh spring vibes. We are exploring Cedar Creek Swimming Holes and Love Creek Falls in Cedar Creek, North of Brisbane, in the Mt Mee region. Come along with an open mind to experience something new! It’s a great time for chats and laughs, explore far or near. We will have a morning tea picnic together, maybe a swim if you’re feeling warm, and spend time together with new friends and old. Grab Lunch in Samford and explore the town, who said card games on a picnic rug – we are in! Make sure you register so that we can cater for your dietary requirements and the right number of people.
What to Bring:
- Hat, water, sunscreen
- Bring your togs if you’re feeling like a dip (and a towel)
- Good shoes – it’s rocky…
- Bring a picnic rug if your keen to rock bake etc…

Carpooling Inquiries:
- We know with fuel costs and life costs that can be a little tricky sometimes and we want to help
- If you need a lift to, during or from the event please let us know! We will be sure to connect you with a ride.
- Hot tip: The closest train station is the Landsborough train station where we can also organise for pickups or there are public bus services.

Schedule:
Saturday 18th of August
- 8:45am – Head to Samford and head toward ‘Cedar Creek Falls Retreat’ at the end of Cedar Creek Road.
- 9:00am – The exploring starts. Hop, skip, jump, scramble, step cautiously, sit (no slipping allowed) – however you would like to explore there is space for you. Whether you’re hiking to the end and going for the plunge in the falls, or sunbaking by the shallow creek trickling by, come be outside, soak in some laughs and good times!
- 10:30am – A spread of spreads for morning tea, we’ll have baked goods, treats, fruits and the good ol biccy (did someone say cookie with a lookie!!)
- 10:30-11:30am – More time to explore!
- 11:30am – We take the town (no, just visiting). Lets go get some lunch and wander (It’s a quaint little town) – Spot for lunch gathering communicated on the day!
- 1:00pm – official wrap up, keep the hangs going or venture home (Til next time…)
